Zonta Says No To Violence – Niagara Falls Candlelight Walk


With a new look in the year of Covid-19, members of the Zonta Club of St. Catharines joined the Zonta Club of Niagara Falls in December, 2020 at Table Rock in Niagara Falls, as the Falls turned orange to signal the start of the United Nations 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. “Zonta Says NO” is a Zonta International campaign to raise awareness of violence against women and girls and to work toward its end.

 

 

 

 

Cheque Presentation

Proceeds from our 2017 Afternoon Tea were donated to Niagara Nutrition Partners, a program of Community Care, that promotes the connection between healthy food choices and improved learning through the provision of breakfast, lunch and snacks at school or community-based programs. They currently serve 200+ school and community based programs, feeding 17,000 children and youth each day.

Zonta Club of St. Catharines Says No To Violence Against Women and Girls around the world. Annually since 2013 our club has set-up a display and engaged the public in the atrium of the St. Catharines Public Library Central Branch. Zonta members handed out literature, oranges, and orange ribbons.

Proceeds from the April 2014 Zonta Club of St. Catharines Afternoon Tea were donated to the Village of Hope to support services and programs offered to those in need throughout Niagara.
